McCoy Alternative Power Reports was created to fill a niche as an independent and reliable voice in offering reports for alternative energy generating units, initially focusing on wind energy.
MAPR was founded in August 2007 by Elizabeth McCoy with assistance and supervision from her father, Robert McCoy, founder and president of McCoy Power Reports, www.mccoypower.net. McCoy Power Reports (MPR), is the leading source in the world for information and data on electric power plants. Led by Robert McCoy’s 40 years of experience, MPR tracks every generating unit that produces 10 MW or more of electricity. The reports are the most current and complete available from an independent organization, covering new orders and backlogs for gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers, engineers, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), hydro turbines and generators, nuclear reactors, and independent power producers (IPP).
